Mears taxi vs Mears Global Chauffeur Service

My family of 8 is headed to Disney via Amtrak. We are schedule to exit at Kissimmee and I have arranged a Mears luxury van for transportation to our resort. But tonight I have read a lot and I mean a lot of negative reviews about Mears on Google. Any insight to calm my nerves? Is the taxi division separate from the chauffeur service? I don't want to start of our long awaited trip on the wrong foot.

I have begun to look for alternatives like Tiffany Towncars which has had many positive reviews on this site.

Taxis and luxury vans are two separate divisions

of Mears.

I have nothing good to say about Mears as well....I stopped using them for both Business and Vacations a few years back. One of the Mears big wigs jumped ship a number of years back and started his own company with his family and they have been outstanding for us.

Most of the online reviews are for the shared shuttle service offered by Mears.

AFAIK Mears charges more for private transfers then most of the car service companies used by posters on DIS. I don't recall reading a single review, good or bad. For that matter I don't recall reading many taxi reviews (good or bad). My guess is the vast majority of taxi passengers get exactly the service they're expecting and see no reason to post a review.

Many of the car services used by posters on DIS don't service the Amtrak train station.
