I’ve only been to Disney when Disney Express was offered so have never needed to arrange transportation from MCO to the resort.
My flight arrives just after midnight and I’m trying to decide what the best option is to get from MCO to POP.

Mears Connect is obviously the cheapest option but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of responses on previous posts asking for personal experience for late hours travel.

I’ve been pricing out GearFusion and other suggested car services, even Uber if necessary, but would like to have the cheapest, easiest option as it’s just the fiance and I with only carry on luggage.

Has anyone used MearsConnect for a late flight arrival, and how long between landing and departure to the resort should I expect?

Thanks so much!

We unexpectedly arrived well after 11 PM last March due to a flight delay. I do recall our having to wait a little longer than usual to board (maybe 30 min?) since the buses weren’t running as frequently. Once on the bus, the trip wasn’t any longer than usual. I’d have no concerns using Mears again.

We used Mears connect about 10:30pm, loaded straight into a van and taken direct to resort with 2 other families, travel time around 30 mins. We did not prebook, just got tickets when arrived. Mears is definitely easy and cheap.

There are a lot of factors that go into it that you won't know. If there are a lot of prebooks, they will use a bus, if it's just a few, you end up in a van. How many resorts are stopped at before yours. On a bus it could theoretically be 10, with a van, probably no more than 1 or 2. Wife landed at 11pm on our last trip and it was about 15 minutes from the time she checked in until they were leaving the lot.

I did back in November I arrived about 1140 and by the time I got my luggage and found my way over to Meers which was no small feet considering I flew Southwest and I was in the wrong terminal and didn’t realize it so I wondered around forever in a day before somebody told me hey you’re in the wrong terminal so I arrived at Meers well after midnight oh by the way they had also sent my luggage on a different flight so I had to go find my luggage so yeah I was there long after midnight walked right up to the counter got right on the bus I think there was maybe one or two other families besides me we waited maybe five minutes and I was really lucky I was the first stop at Animal Kingdom Lodge so getting there from the airport was a breeze going home totally different story made me curse using them and wishing I had not but getting there from the airport was amazingly well going home I wished I would’ve just Uber or took a cab it’s been easier and a whole lot less stressful because basically they had no one to come pick me up and I had a heck of a time getting picked up I had a confirmed reservation and I reconfirmed it on the phone the night before and that flight was also a very late flight the driver dropping off literally spent 15 minutes calling them to get approval to pick me up because no one was showing up to pick me up and they were already 30 minutes late thankfully they gave him permission he was already picking up other people and he had an empty bus I think all total he had 10 people on the bus counting me so it wasn’t like I couldn’t fit two of his stops were no-shows I think they probably got tired of waiting on them
So my opinion is yes I would use them from the airport because they are right there and after midnight they are the cheapest option but I would look into other options to go from the hotel to the airport something more reliable than them because my experience multiple times with them from the hotel to the airport has not been good lesson learned by me I won’t be doing that again I would use him from the airport but not from the hotel YMMV
I hope this helps !!! Have a wonderful vacation!!

I used Mears Connect for a very late flight last year. I was at Terminal C, the plane got in late and it took forever to get my checked bag. By the time I got to the Mears counter it was at least midnight, maybe later.

I waited maybe 15 minutes for a van (not a bus), and I was the only passenger! So, yes, I can recommend them.

I've done Mears twice for late flights, and both went really well. I happened to be one of the last people to board, but also the last stop on the route. So we started moving quickly, but I was on the bus for around 90 minutes.

There are plenty of rideshares available at late and very early hours. I go with Mears or rideshare when arriving and always rideshare when returning to the airport.

On our last trip to DW Mears to our resort was the only thing that went smoothly on arrival day. We were originally scheduled to arrive around 5 PM, but it ended up being around 11 PM when we finally reached MCO. We boarded a Mears bus a few minutes after getting to the counter and left immediately. Our resort was the first stop on the route.
