Good morning everyone!

Wow, central Virginia was pounded with some thunderstorms last night, and boy did they hit quick! When I was driving home at 6pm, it was bright and sunny with not a gray cloud in sight. By 7pm it was dark as night with some of the most ominous looking clouds I've seen in awhile!

Anyway, luckily there was no real damage outside of lost power, fallen trees and hail damage, as far as I know it didn't spawn any tornados which they were threatening us with, and the lightning strikes didn't start anymore wildfires since the rain was coming down at a whopping 4 inches an hour!

So my question today to you is about Thunderstorms!

Love them? Hate them? So scared of them you need a change of undies when one comes?

I am such a baby when it comes to storms (I think it comes from living here in IL..we can get some crazy ones) The sad thing is by DH and and Ava (3) sleep right through them while I have it on the local news and an gathering things together to take into the basement. I may need meds....

I dislike them because the power sometimes goes out and I don't like the sudden BOOMS

I said that I hate them, because we are at a location where it is likely that the lights will go out during a thunderstorm. If it weren't for that, I'd like them.

I love thunderstorms. We opened up our windows last night so that we could hear it and feel the breeze. However, I really don't like storms that turn into hurricanes.

I love them. I am fascinated by the power of Mother Nature. I do not like to see the destruction that can result though. Just your basic thunderstorm can really get the blood pumping.

I hate them. I'm wicked scared of them. One of my friends' brothers lost a classmate several years ago (before I met them), because she was walking to class (prep school) and was about 20 feet away from a tree that got hit by lightening. The high winds, flash flooding, and just everything that accompanies bad thunderstorms scares me. Every year we have to replace or fix some appliance, or the alarm system, or garage door opener, etc, because lightening always strikes near our house.
Whenever a thunderstorm rolls through people will usually find me cuddling with my teddy. I'm a big baby during them
