Good Morning Everyone!

Well another work week is just about done! Any big plans out there? Doesn't look like it's going to be a nice one here in Richmond. All it's been doing here is rain... rain.. rain. And then when it's done with that it rains some more!

Well here is a fun but icky poll for you today - and it's one you can vote multiple times on because if you are willing to admit to liking it, more power to you to vote as much as you want to!!!

I voted other as Black Pudding is not on the list. I don't love it or find it yummy but have eaten it in the past and would eat it again. DH loves Haggis and often gets battered Haggis from the local fish and chip shop. I personally find it a bit spicy. We do live around a lot of Scottish people though so Haggis is a traditional dish for them.

I love Calamari, it is so good fried and dipped in marinara sauce. I love the calamari at Palo on the DCL. Yum!!!!

Ugh. You would not catch me touching ANYTHING on this list but my DS who is a very picky eater loves fried calamari. This same kid won't eat corn on the cob, baked beans, pasta salad, any veggie but canned corn or greenbeans but also loves Buffalo wings!

I also have fond memories of my mom making "friturita de ceso" when I was young. This is basically a pig brain fritter. You take a little lump of pig brain, roll in egg then in flour I think and fry. Crunchy on the outside, soft and mushy on the inside. (Yeah...I can't believe I ate those either!)

I accidentally tried some Calamari and that is some nasty stuff. I was in Venice and they advrtised "Fresh fried fish" and I ordered it. When I got it, I complained to the waiter saying, "I thought this was supposed to be fish." He asked me, "Well, what do you call 'fish'?" I told him it should have fins, scales and gills, like place, cod, trout, etc. Anyway, he did take it back and not charge me for it. However, the Coke I ordered with it costs over $5.00. Venice is an expensive place - except ice cream was reasonably priced at the stands.

Calamari is one of my favorite foods.... We have a restaurant in our town that makes the best I have ever eaten.
