Mean girls! UPDATE!

OP I'm glad the principal seems to have taken this situation seriously.

In your openining post you mentioned there are 2 mean girls that have been harrassing your DD. Did you report that girl as well and what if anything happened with her?

Realisitically, if a white person called anyone of any different ethnicity "stupid insert ethnicity here girl", the white child would be suspended immediately.

You have statistics on that? Work in a school and see that happen?

Thanks.. The other situtation is strange. That girl doesn't really ever say much nasty to DD, instead she tries to turn DD's friends against her with lies. It much more sneaky.

Op, sounds like you have a good principal there. So many would just say "stay away from her" or "I will take care of it" and do nothing.

I am so happy with our administration finally. They are really on top of the bullying stuff. DD doesn't have any problems this year (her bully was put out of school) but her friend is having an issue right now. Apparently the BIG put down with 7th grade girls is accusing each other of being gay . I remember having jr. high drama but I don't remember the girls being so mean!

Your daughter's bully may get sneakier, but tell your dd to not let anything go. If the girl bothers her again, go straight back to the principal--the first time.

We've talked about that. She knows to tell us right away if anything else should happen. I've also told her not to brag to her friends or say anything to the girl. If it's over it should be over from both of them.
