Meals we ate

The best meal we ate was CRT for dinner. The castle is beautiful. We had a window seat. Our 2 yr old was sleeping so we were able to bring him up in his stroller. He slept through it all. Dh has a seafood pie and I had prime rib. yum

The second best was Chef Mickey. The food was better than the castle but the atmosphere was better at the castle. The prime rib was way better here than at the castle. The potatoes were to die for.

LTT character dinner was awesome as well. I liked the turkey and dh liked the ham and steak. The boys liked the mac-n-cheese and my 2 yr old loved the salad dressing.

Le Cellier was good but we had major issues checking in and getting our table-with res. it took us almost 1 1/2hrs. A long and ugly story. The food was good but dh wouldnt go back just because of the hostesses.

Mama Melrose wasnt very good. Being on the fantasmic package you only get a couple of choices on what you can eat. Dh got the grilled chicken and it was aweful. I even spit it out in my napkin. I definately would never eat there again - fantasmic package or not.

I am wondering what happened at Le Cellier. I am glad the food was good after waiting for so long.

We are finally going to Chef Mickey's on our family trip next year, so I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!

I'm sorry you were disappointed in Mama Melrose and that you had some trouble at LeCellier. It sounds like the rest of your meals were wonderful though.

What were some of your lunch favorites?

We were disapointed in MM for the fantasmic pkg recently. We had dined there in May (regular menu) and really enjoyed it so we were looking forward to dining there again, but it was not as good! I guess it's hit or miss? We ordered the same meals both times but it was considerably better in May!

Nice, simple reviews. Thank you. We don't have ADR's at any of the places you mentioned, but I was happy to read your review of Mama Melrose's since we decided not to go there - seems like we made the right choice.

I didn't realize that the menu choices were different with the Fantasmic package. Do you remember what you had to choose from. I want to go to Fantasmic, but might change to another restaurant and just do the long wait for Fantasmic.

We also LOVED the castle - ate dinner there 2x and also got into the breakfast with Princesses!!! The Prime Rib was superb and OMG!!!! the fantasyland sundae!!! We saw wishes out the windows on our last night and I will forever now make reservations late on the last night to have this be our last memory of the trip!

There wasnt much to be honest. There was about 6 choices. Primerib, steak, chicken, I think a salmon and a veggie choice. Nothing that stuck out and said OH MY I HAVE to have this. There was so many choices on the regular menu and that is why we chose it. But it seemed to me that, since they knew I was on the dining plan and that we had the fantasmic package, the food was sub-standard. Maybe not but that is the impression that I got.

NExt time we go Dh said we can go anywhere but Mama Melrose. It was that bad. He has never said that one before.

What were some of your lunch favorites?

For lunches we did counter services and didnt really plan out where because it happened to be where we were in the park when everyone got hungry. Dh really isnt picky. He did eat what he got but if he will order it again - than he liked it. That is how I can tell if he likes something lol

MK-Cosmic Ray's Starlight cafe. Dh got turkey wrap and I got the grilled chicken. Kids got nuggets. It was good but nothing to rave about. After I placed my order and went to the next counter to pick it up, the CM disappeared and never came back. I was at the counter for 25 minutes (after 15 I complained and it took 10 minutes to realize that no orders were moving on that side) Hey at least the kids ate first and were almost done byt he time I got there with our food.
DS(2) was asleep for dinner, so DH got him a pizza with salad from Pinocchio Village Haus. Dh loved the salad and DS ate the whole pizza all by himself. Dh said he wished we had lunch there.

AK-we ate Sunaulo Toran Fries in Asia. We got hotdogs with McDonald's fries. A quick meal. The hotdogs are HUGE. Dh thought I would be hungry for 2 because I said I was starving but I was stuffed after one.

EPCOT-SUnshine Seasons in the Land. Dh didnt like his sandwhich at all. It was ham with a funky dressing but he ate it. I had the turkey. It was good but I wouldnt go back just for that.

MGM-Pizza Planet. The pizza was very good. Its hard to find a good pizza but everyone ate theirs and it is a definate go back to place.
