We plan on getting tickets to the 6:00 Cirque on our free day. We'd really like to eat before the show not after. We're on the dining plan so that cuts out a few restaurants at DTD -we'd love to eat at Portabello Yacht Club again. :(

We'll have a car, so it doesn't even have to be at DTD. Could be at a near by resort too. Any good burger places would be cool, but we're up for almost anything.:cool1: (except buffets)

What time should we make the ADRs for?

Here's where we're already eating
Mama Melrose
Boma
Raglan Road
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Teppanyaki
Le Cellier

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what's on the Dining Plan anymore but DH and I always like to go to Bongos in DTD. It was on the Platinum Plan when we did that several years ago (before they changed the plans) so maybe it's on the dining plan. It's cuban food which is quite good actually. I'd never had it before. We also like Earl of Sandwich in DTD but that's not a sit down restaurant. I warn you away from Planet Hollywood that place is rank, nasty and gross.

:rotfl: Thanks, I really didn't like it there 11 years ago and won't go back. I'll look into Bongos.

Wolfgang Pucks has some awesome reviews!! There are a few of them there, but all different. So...not the 2 credit place...just the regular one. The Express is CS and is to die for good!!!!

Well since you mentioned a burger, how about hitting up the Earl of Sandwich for a bite before the show? Much better than a burger and their on the DDP.

Last month, we ate at Earl of Sandwich using CS credits before our La Nouba showtime. Keep in mind that you'll want to arrive at la Nouba by 5:30 -- there's a pre-show you won't want to miss. Earl worked perfectly for us because we didn't have the stress of timing the meal just right (getting the food, getting the check, etc.) and a smaller dinner meant we had room for dessert afterwards which was a lot of fun.

We had the same problem with the dining plan and eating before Cirque. We decided to use our TS credit for a character breakfast that day and use a CS credit early evening at EoS. It worked well. Of course Wolfgang Puck Express is another good option. You want to leave space for popcorn and pretzels at the show!:yay:

Without hesitation, I'd recommend Wolfgang Puck Cafe. First, it's excellent. We were there on Thanksgiving (we ordered from the regular menu) and thought it was very good. Lots of options on the menu and everything was very good. Second, it's likely the closest restaurant to Cirque. And third, it's on the DDP (1 TS credit).

As others have mentioned, Wolfgang Puck Express is also very good, but it's farthest from Cirque. In addition, it's a CS meal and IMHO when you're having a nice night out, you should have a nice TS meal as well.
