I noticed alot of threads about the meal voucher programs. I was curious to know what they are about. Are they a money saving tool? Where do I get them if I think they would benefit my family trip?

Can anyone tell me the expereinces that you have had with them?

Thanks!!!!

I used the Quick and Casual Vouchers on my last trip in February of this year. I purchased them from individuals who had them leftover from their trips. I believe they originally got them from Connections. You can do a search on Connections on this board and find out how to join. You can join for a trial membership for 1 month then cancel after you purchase your meal vouchers if you like. However, people have had varying opinions of the Connections program. A few years back, I joined through a phone solicitation call and while I was able to cancel, they did require me to write a letter, which was not what I was originally told. I was told I could just phone them to cancel.

Anyhow, we used 2 meal vouchers at the Beaches & Cream sit down restaurant at the Beach Club Hotel and 2 at the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs. At Beaches & Cream, we were able to get a Prime Rib Sandwich, side of fries, chicken Ceasar salad, side of fruit, a soda, a smoothie (counted as a dessert) and the huge Kitchen Sink ice cream dessert. Our bill without the vouchers would have been well over $60 and the cost of the 2 vouchers was $22. The price may be $11.50 each now.

At the Pepper Market, we got 2 Prime Rib dinners with 2 side (veggies, baked potato or steak fries), orange juice, coffee, fruit (counted as a dessert) and a cinnamon roll. The menu price of one Prime Rib dinner was $17.99.

Each voucher will allow you to get an entree, a side (if the entree doesn't come with one), a drink and dessert. Taxes and tip (if not a counter service place) is also included.

The vouchers can save you alot of money if used correctly. Using them at some of the counter service restaurants are not a good value. You would have to see where the vouchers are accepted and look at the menus the have and see if you would like to eat at these places and if you regularly buy a drink and eat a dessert. If you usually get water and skip dessert they may not be a good value.

If you don't like to plan where you are going to eat and just like to stop and eat at whatever place you are close to when you get hungry, the vouchers may not be a good idea.

Some people like to get the vouchers so they can pre-pay for their meals.

You can also get lunch vouchers (good for sit down restaurants but much more expensive) from Connections but I didn't use any of those.
