Meal sharing on DDP

Regarding the DxDP isn't free..it's expensive, we paid for it! There is no such policy that can be really enforced because one is in the DxDP @ $119 per person per day.. A restaurant either accepts or doesn't accept the DP. I understand everyone pays at a buffet, I understand there are adult and child prices, I understand no taking food home from buffets, I don't share drink refills..I order my own..I am not a rebel looking to defy rules or policies..No one is telling me what I can and cannot do with a meal I pay for and no one will tell me I cannot have a piece of my DH pizza...If we are sharing at Via Napoli we are ordering only what is permitted for one meal..nothing more expected..of course I pay for an additional drink. I don't eat the unlimited bread or salads that sometimes come with the meal because that would be wrong. for example, Olive Garden, If I share a meal with DH, we would never request more bread or the salad because that comes unlimited for each entrée ordered . so it's still one meal..and I don't even expect extra Utensils or dishes..it's pizza for goodness sakes. if I want to eat some of my DH's pizza that we paid for (dining plan or not) . I will..no one..including Via Napoli will tell me I'm not permitted. Im paying, if they would ever tell me I could not eat a piece of my DH pizza..then apparently they are paying for it...that's the only way they can dictate what I do with food.. I am NOT carrying left overs in Epcot or any park for that matter and I refuse to throw out /waste food . If a waiter or waitress ever told me I am not "allowed" to eat something my DH ordered..I would seriously laugh... I've been to Via Napoli many by times.... never an issue and trust me.. it never will be an issue either, for me to have a slice of DH pizza.. it's never been an issue ever in any restaurant including Via. Its all in how you word it... Trust me people, you can share on the DP at Via Napoli.... I simply decline ordering anything but a drink, I don't owe a waiter or a waitress an explanation. I don't go in saying, "I am sharing DH meal", I simply order my drink and deline ordering an entrée and eat DH pizza with him... I welcome the dispute that Via is going to treat me differently than a person paying OOP....expecially when we are paying for DxDP at $119 per person per day.... I would love an explanation why the woman next to me can eat a piece of her DH pizza and I cannot, when we are both paying for it...one on the plan the other not on the plan.... seriously people, think about this...

As PP said if you are paying out of pocked you can share/split food but on the DDP they have been the most notorious about the no splitting policy and that everyone must use a credit.

Also interesting to mention the first (and only time) we have done the DDP we were specifically told we could not split/share at 50s Prime Time. I had ordered the best of platter and offered my friend a piece of it since he was just a long for the day and not eating with us but the waitress came over and said he was not allowed to eat anything unless he paid for it. Definitely weird and he still picked off my plate when they weren't looking but am just saying it does happen even at Disney owned restaurants.

That so strange about 50's Prime Time-just this past February me and DH went there for lunch and shared 1 sample platter, 1 appetizer, and 1 dessert. I even did a little research before we went to see what place was good for sharing/splitting a meal and that was one of the more recommended spots.

What about sharing with a child? DD is 11 so she's an adult on the DP but together we don't usually finish 1 meal so we often share/split/whatever-you-wanna-call-it at non-Disney restaurants. Would they have a problem with DD and I sharing a meal?
