My sister and I spent five days at WDW. We were on a budget, but not penny pinching to the point of taking a microwave...

Breakfast was cereal bars in the room except for one morning when I went out and got Krispy Kremes while my sister slept. YUM!

We had lunch at Pecos Bill's twice and got the same thing both times; we split a chicken wrap, got an extra order of fries, and split a large drink. Splitting a sandwich worked really well for us because we could then get a snack later in the afternoon. We love Pecos Bills for the fixin's bar (cheese for our french fries!).

At Animal Kingdom, we ate at Flame Tree BBQ, which I had heard good things about on this board. Neither of us liked it. We got the smoked chicken sandwich and it was really dry.

At Blizzard Beach, we ate at the Lottawatta Lodge. Got a chicken wrap which was nowhere near as good as the ones at Pecos Bill's. The fries were good though.

Our best lunch was the day we went to MGM. We took the boat over to the Yacht Club and ate at Beaches & Cream. It was so nice to sit down and relax without waiting in line and not paying much more than counter service. I got a burger and my sister got a turkey sandwich. We didn't have room for ice cream though!

Our first dinner was at San Angel Inn at Epcot. We didn't have a PS, but walked right in and got our request for a table next to the "water". My sister had memories of eating here with our parents about twenty years ago and wanted to go back. We got nachos for an appetizer (pretty good) and split the mole chicken, which was really good, and plenty for two. We also got margaritas, which were good but not great. We walked out of there totally stuffed with no room for dessert!

Second night, we were headed to the Halloween party, so we had an early dinner. We went to the Crab House near the LBV Outlet mall. We both got the buffet; my sister loved it (she eats more of a variety of seafood than I do) and I thought it was OK. The service was good, I just should have gotten a regular entree instead of the buffet.

Third night, we had dinner at Wolfgang Puck's cafe. We both had really good dinners and I would definitely recommend it. I had pumpkin ravioli and she had pasta with goat cheese and spinach. Dinner came within about ten minutes of ordering! We spent the rest of the evening at Jellyrolls, which was lots of fun.

For our last night, based on the recommendations from the board, I made a PS at Bomas. It lived up to expectations. We both loved it, especially the desserts, and rolled back to our hotel. I tried a little bite of everything and went back for my favorites (a flank steak and sweet potatoes, along with carrot ginger soup and a chicken apple soup).

My favorite snack of the trip was the 100 Year Celebration bar (chocolate ice cream with caramel). I also tried a Dole Whip. On our last day, we did a monorail tour of resorts and had frozen yogurt at the Grand Floridian. We liked that you could add your own sprinkles and sauces. For morning snacks, we took baggies of Rumbly Grahams (Pooh version of teddy grahams) that I brought from home.

So that's what we ate. I have been afraid to get on the scale since we got back!

Thanks, Candace. We were so comfortable at Beaches and Cream.
We like that place, too!

We really enjoy Pucks cafe, too. So many yummy things from which to choose. Thanks for posting your reviews.

Did you try the bbq sauces at the condiment/utensil stations? I've seen another review that commented on the dryness and wondered if they missed the sauces.

We missed the BBQ sauces! My sister went to get napkins and stuff while I was in line, so I never saw them and she must not have either. Now we'll know for next time!

Thanks for the excellent reviews!
