Hi Again

I am coming from the US where you have to make reservations months in advance for dinner reservations.

Does the same apply for DLP, as I have no prior experience?

We are staying at the Castle Club can they book restaurant reservations for you on a daily basis?

Any and all info on this subject would be greatly apprecaited!:wizard:

We are going in March & are wanting to eat at Walt's on Main Street. Do advance reservations need to be made or can we just walk up? I am waiting for March hours, so I can see the parade times. I would love to get a window seat & watch the parade. Can you request this when making reservations?

AFAIK it depends when you are going. As long as it's not a crazy busy time like Christmas it appears that you can book your table the day before, or on the morning of the day and you should be fine. We are going (TODAY!!!!) and have booked our first night's table at Cafe Mickey a week or so ago by phone, just so I don't have to worry about finding somewhere. The rest of our meals we will book in the morning. Some of the restaurants in the village especially don't accept bookings, so you just have to turn up and wait if they don't have a table. Obviously if you are wanting to eat at peak times, then you wait longer.

Forgot to say, tinknme!! Patience!!! Don't forget that most of the posters on this forum are either Brits or French/German/Dutch. Your first post was posted at midnight and your second one at 6am!!! You need to give us a chance to wake up first :rotfl: :lmao:

I was only up so early because, and I might not have mentioned this before, I am leaving to go to DLRP today  :cool1: :yay:

We have never pre-booked meals before arriving, even in the height of summer. Once there booking on the morning has ensured all bookings were met.

Have a look at the restaurant faq where numbers are given if you want to phone 3 months in advance. Note there are no email addresses to make bookings.:)

Thanks! Maybe we will just wing it & wait till the day we go to book.

Sorry you felt I was being inpatient, more like just being excited :dance3:

All of the onsite hotels have a Concierge/Information desk where you can make reservations, so I have no doubt that you'll be able to do the same thing in Castle Club :goodvibes

If you want to eat at a certain place at a certain time then a reservation can be a very good idea. I made a reservation at Walts a couple of weeks beforehand, and made a request for a table by the window if possible, which we got. :cloud9:

Oh Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted to know! Are the parade times the same every month or should I wait for the park hours to be released for March? Thanks again!

Park hours are now out for March - have a look here, and then scroll to the month you want. You can click on each day to find out the parade and show times, though these only appear to be available up to 21st Jan at the moment. :confused3 Having said that, I would be very surprised if the parade in the Disneyland Park is not in it's usual 4 pm slot! :)

As usual you have all the info, but as it is June will have to wait for hours!

What do you think about taking 4 kids to Walts?

Here's the troops at Walts. DD7, DS4, DD2 Although this was when they did character breakfasts, I had no hesitation in taking them to Walts :goodvibes

I agree with Reid - I would happily do it again. Took our two girls, who aren't particularly quiet ;) and I certainly didn't feel out of place. Don't know if they always hand out the same thing, but we got the best kids freebie toy that we've ever had in a Disney restaurant - a little jigsaw track and wind up car. Kept Ol and the girls amused for ages!! :teeth:

Thank you Becky, this is very helpful!
