Booking next week for May. Wondering if I should get a character meal with my package? Is it worth it, or should I save my 130.00 and use it to go to the carnation cafe or something a few times? Thanks!

It really depends on you and your expectations. Personally, the character meals are not worth it for our family - we'd so much rather save the money spent on a character meal and look for characters in the park. We aren't buffet people to begin with so for us, the price is outrageous.

Now, to be fair, the only character meal we've done is the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at PPH, but we were totally nonplussed. Enough so that we canceled our PS for Goofy's Kitchen for the night after.

But, people do love the character meals, so again, it depends on you.

I agree with the previous poster, yet we're a family that loves the character meals. We did Goofy's Kitchen for DD's birthday and everyone had such an amazing time. The girls loved the characters and the food..they've never done buffets before and were thrilled they could pick any and everything that they wanted. :) The hands-down winner for my DDs was the peanut butter and jelly pizza, not for me, but it made them happy. My 4 yr old is begging to go back on our next trip. At the same time, we can't get enough of Carnation Cafe. The Peanut Butter Pallettes are ingenious and keep the girls entertained the entire time. Good luck and have fun!

I completely agree. What I like about the charachter meals is all the charachters coming to me...I don't have to be around people pushing to get in line to see a charachter and then when I finally get to the front of the line the character leaves on a break. The food is usually so so but the interaction is great! I didn't care for Storytellers, I liked Goofy's Kitchen and I would love to try Minnie and Friends! Have fun whatever you decide - and yes, the Peanut Butter Pallettes and Carnation Cafe are fabulous!

We love them, they're a nice break from the parks, a meal and fun with characters, we've tried each *except the new Mickey one ~ but did eat there when it was Lilo & Stitch* and we'd go back to each. Minnie's is great ~ I love that it's in the park, we enjoy a late brunch after touring the park for a couple hours, we always visit with the most characters there. Ariel's is lovely ~ I enjoy the fact that it's not a buffet, the food is brought to you, Storyteller's is nice ~ again you can order from a menu *I have the few times we've eaten there* *I share with DD*, the furry characters love "playing" with DD's hair ~ making it static~y.

I do agree that it varies from person to person. However, if you have never experienced a character meal before, I think it would be worth it just to try it once. Goofy's Kitchen is the best one in terms of the quality of the food and the selection that they offer. The characters there are a ton of fun and Goofy was hilarious. Minnie & Friend's has a lot of characters (I saw 11 when I went) but I find that their character interaction is not as great (a lot of them tend to skip tables/sections) whereas the characters at GK make it a point to visit every section. I heard Ariel's Grotto is pretty fun as well and theirs isn't a buffet if you don't think overstuffing yourself.

Either way, have fun deciding :)
