Are they worth it? We are going for 3 days and are planning on eating at BTRBBQ and Minnie's Character Breakfast for sure. Does it save any money?

Nope. The Dining Plan is not recommended at Disneyland. It is not like the Dining Plan at WDW, or at other theme parks for that matter. All you do is pre-pay for dollar amount vouchers. For example, if you pay $100, you get $100 worth of food vouchers. You don't save any money. You can also potentially lose money because if your total is less than the value of the voucher, they won't give change. If you use a $15 voucher to pay for your $13 lunch, you will lose that $2 difference. There are a few instances where you save a couple of bucks, like if you are traveling during a busy holiday season where they raise the prices of character meals by a few bucks, but you've already paid for your vouchers, then you'll save a tiny bit of money there, but other than that, there is no savings. We encourage guests that want to budget out and prepay for their meals to just put money on a Disney gift card and use that to pay for food.
