I have reservations for the middle of July. It will just be myself and 2 kids (9 and 4) I am trying to decide if I should go with the QS plan or the Traditional Plan. At the moment, this is what I have put together:

Day 1: Arrive into WDW (at POP)
Water Park
Dinner at Chef Mickey at 6:30

Day 2: Tusker's Character Breakfast 8:05
EMH at AK
Flame Tree for early Dinner

Day 3: Epcot
Teppan Edo at 5:50

Day 4: Ohana Character Breakfast 7:40
MK
Cosmic Rays Dinner

Day 5: Water Park
Lunch at Park
Maya 6:00 Dinner
Smores/Movie at Beach Club

Day 6: EMH at Epcot
CS lunch at Epcot
Swim break
MK
Dinner CS

Day 7: Kona Breakfast 8:30
DHS
Sci-Fi Dinner 6:45

Day 8: Check out
CS Breakfast
Water Park (maybe)
DTD Lunch

All thoughts and opinions welcome. We will have the military pass (which is why so many waterpark days-but do these also work for golf??) Golf might be a better choice on check out day. (It's all about the hair, baby) :rotfl:

My other thought was to change to just CS, and do 2 character meals OOP...the cost would be about the same as doing the TS option. But, it might make things a little less structured.

THANKS for the input

I'd go with the Basic Dining Plan. With just you and two "children", it would more than pay for it. (The children's price for the plan is about $11 per day. The table services alone for them will be more expensive than that plus you'd still get a CS and snack.) More than likely, the adult plan will break even for you. (But the savings on the kids plan would be more than beneficial.)

I just want to raise a red flag on your Day 2 -- you're essentially "wasting" EMH (assuming AM) by having an early breakfast while it's going on, and then you'll be exiting out of breakfast into a more crowded park.

A better bet would be to do a light snack type breakfast in the room, hit EMH, and then go to the latest possible TH seating, either fastpassing the Safari or doing standby right at or shortly after regular opening. You can get a lot more activities in during EMH, and load up on a few fastpasses to use later.

After breakfast, then you can focus on using the fastpasses and hitting the shows & parade, or heading over to Planet Watch (if you like).

Yes, but only the 9-hole walking course at Oak Trail. Reservations are required.

You might want to squeeze Disney Quest for the kiddies in there, too.

I had thought of this...and was wondering if it was poor planning. Might have to make some changes there. :surfweb:

So, I guess the golf isn't mini golf...:rotfl: OK-rethink. What is Disney Quest? Is it like Laser Tag? Good for a 4 year old??
