Meal plan info....

We just booked our trip and it includes the meal plan. The question I have is if the full service sit down meal is also available to just use as a fast food type meal for a burger or something, or does it have to be used for a full sit down restaurant? We just don't want to always feel we have to spend the time dining when a quick meal or piece of pizza at a park would be easier...

I assume you booked a WDW trip and have the Dining Plan?

As far as I know, yes, the TS credits have to be used at a TS restaurant. But there is a whole board regarding the Dining Plan, so maybe you should ask there?

When I was there in October, we were able to use the table service for counter service. We used our table service as counter service at downtown disney. I was asked at a couple of places that took both counter and table service which one I was using when I was checking out.

I recall being given the option to do this during August of 2006. But that was during a free dining promotion and there just were not enough tables available at TS restaurants to accommodate everyone, so Disney made the exception.

I'm going to move this over to the Restaurant Boards Dining Plan subforum. There are more people over this with recent experience who can give you a better idea of whether it's possible to do now.
