We are planning a trip to Disney at New Years for a few days before we head out on a Disney Cruise :cool1:
Trying to figure out our best options for meal plans while we are at the resort.
We are planning to check into CBR the night of the 31st after visiting Legoland that day. We will hit up Magic Kingdom on January 1st returning to CBR that night and then head out on Jan. 2 for the Disney cruise.
Does anybody have any suggestions for the best way to go about food options while we are at the resort. Can we we buy 2 days of meal plans and use them on three separate days (i.e. dinner on 31st and then use the breakfast and lunch on the 2nd) or would it be best to try to just buy one day of meal plans and just make our own way on the night of the 31st and the day of the 2nd.
Thanks for any advice! :thumbsup2

You must buy the plan for each night of your resort reservation. There is no option for buying a partial plan.

You do get all the credits for the entire stay in a lump sum, and then you can use them whenever you want. It's up to you to plan enough table and quick service meals to use up your dining credits.

It appears you are staying only 2 nights so on the regular dining plan you would need to figure out how to use 2 TS, 2 CS and 2 snacks each.

On New Years Eve and New Years Day, yet. Which just may be the two busiest days all year at WDW. You should check and see if you can even book any restaurants at MK.

We are having the same dilemma. We are arriving early for our cruise so will really only be at the parks 1 and 1/2 days. We signed up for the dining plan that includes 2 ts, 2 qs, 2 snacks, and the mugs. Our plan was to use one qs on the half day of arrival, then the next full day use one QS for breakfast and TS for lunch and dinner.

However, looking at all the ADRs (we couldn't get the ones we wanted), we might decide to cancel the dining plan and just pay OOP for everything, and eat mostly QS. That way we can maximize our time enjoying attractions. Plus, we will soon be on a boat where you can eat all day long!
