Hi

We're on the DDP again this year and as the kids meals are nearly always Mac cheese and burgers we try to choose as many buffet or eat all you want type meals as possible so that the girls are not restricted in their choices and can eat from our choices - IYKWIM

Here's my list so far

Garden Grill x 2 (kids favourite) -

Biergarten

Bona 1 x breakfast & 1 x evening meal

Crystal Palace

Hoop De Doo

O'Hanas - new this time + want to watch fireworks from Poly beach

Non Buffet/Eat all you can choices

50's Prime Time - new this time

Liberty Tavern

Chef Mickeys - new this time - going for characters rather than meal

So if Hoop de doo takes 2 x TS that leaves me 2 more to pick

Any suggestions that will be good for the kids? Also prepared to make changes if you have some better suggestions to what's already there

By the way - not bothered about Whispering Canyon as DH wasn't too keen on this and we'll be visiting Wilderness lodge with the Hoop De Doo

Many thanks

donalds breakfast at animal kingdom was so good and we plan to take our girls there this year

Akershus and Liberty Tree TAvern (LTT at dinner only) offer family style meals. Biergarten at EPCOT is a nice buffet also. You already have our favourites at Boma.

Also, Kouzzina at Boardwalk offers more adult-type kids choices.

Teppan Edo has a good childrens menu - we love it here!

Also HDD is at Fort Wilderness not WL - however The skillet at WCC would be different for the children though.

Mama Melrose has nice children's pasta (choice of sauces)

Liberty Tree is all you can eat at dinner - thanksgiving style food

GFC has grilled salmon or steak

Le Cellier has steak

Tutto Italia looks like it has a good menu but we haven't eaten there yet.

Hope these give you some ideas - we have eaten at them all except Tutto.

I second Teppan Edo. Coral Reef is okay. Not a big fan of their dinner. SLOOOWWWW.... Akershus is another good one, we usually do breakfast there. Is there a particular park you are looking for a reservation at? Check out the menus at allears.net. I find them very helpful.

Cape May Cafe at the Boardwalk is a firm favourite in our family. The sweetest corn I have ever had and the last time we were there they had crab legs, my daughter went into a feeding frenzy, I do not think they had ever seen a 7 year old eat so much! Very family friendly, they cover the table in a paper roll and encorage the kids to get artistic. Already on our return list for October.:thumbsup2

how about 1900PF at the grand floridian, my DD loves it, the step sisters are fab and we like the buffet too:thumbsup2

Teppan edo does real food for kids - smaller portion of adult meal. DD loved watching the chef cook.

Raglan Rd at DTD does smaller portions of adult meals - we've eaten there twice and love it. That at teppan edo were our favourite meals last trip.

DD also liked tutto Italia. The kids meals there were much better than the standard disney fare - think what DD had would have been $20 oop. DD also liked being able to draw on the table cloth.

There are some pics of these meals in my dining review - link in my signature.

Edited to say i'd agree Akershus breakfast is a great meal and a good deal for 1 TS as the photopackage is included. The buffet to start has smoked salmon, bagels, fruit then they serve a plate family style with the usual bacon, eggs, sausage.

Wow guys - I'm so glad I asked!! You've come up with some great ideas I'd not thought of so going to investigate your suggestions and do some re jiggling!

Also HDD is at Fort Wilderness not WL - however The skillet at WCC would be different for the children though.

Re the comment on Hoop Dee Doo not being at WL but Fort Wilderness - thank you for pointing this out - I thought they were the same thing! Now I've got to do some extra research on that!!! Better to find out now than 10 minutes before the show! :scared1:

You have Chef Mickey listed as Non Buffet but it is a buffet restaurant :D We've only had breakfast there but it is GOOD!!! This is always where we go on our first day in Disney its a great way to kick off our holiday :)

We did the whispering canyon last trip this restaurant was so much fun, the servers are great and there are lots of fun things that can happen that make it excellent for children (and big kids!) They do an all you can eat skillet which is so yummy.

lol ignore my whispering canyon comment just reread your post more carefully!!!!

the 50's prime time cafe isn't an eat all you can restaurant...it's just a regular restaurant, where you order your meal... we like it there, but i wanted to clarify that it's not an eat as much as you want place....but it's a fun place to eat...

on the other hand, chef mickey's is a buffet...you have it listed as not being a buffet....it is a buffet and a good one...
we particularly like it for dinner...
