Why did Universal get rid of their Meal Deal? I used to love getting that! I can't stand their new "Dining" plan. I think it's ridiculous. They should bring back the Meal Deal, and then I will be happy.

Can't answer your question but what is their new dining plan?

It's something like for an adult, you pay 19.99 and get one counter service entree(which I'm assuming is a burger and fries and drink but non-alcoholic) and then you get one snack(popcorn, pretzel, ice cream) and then one drink at a service cart(soda water etc).

It's just not as good as the meal deal, where I would pay a little more than $20, and I could eat all day, whenever I was in the mood for something.

it can be a decent deal if you know the menu prices.
in january, i did the $20 counter service deal and came out ahead by about $6.

bought it at the 3 B's for the rib dinner.
the dinner comes with a beverage.
think it was about $16.99 for that.

used the 2 beverages and snack coupon items a few days later in the park.

i usually go for a longer stay than others so it's fine for me for a couple of days.

I guess you can't get a butterbeer as a snack credit or count as one of the drinks?

yes you can.
i used one of my credits for the butterbeer.

if you look at the list of the snacks and beverages that are included with the coupons, you will see butterbeer listed.

did it count as a drink or snack credit?

I just remember really getting my money's worth when they had the meal deal. I figured a typical meal would cost me at least 8 bucks, and if I ate 3 times during the whole day, I was getting my money's worth. I literally would eat here and there, numerous times at the park. I'd say I probably had about 6 meals throughout the day, and it was a great deal. Now they replace it with some crappy plan. BOOOOOOOO!

ah, the wit of an Ohioan.

family from ohio that also loves the senator.

::yes::

The OP has started a couple of other threads that have been locked.....just saying:rolleyes1...:duck:

Not a very good deal for $20- potentially only a couple of dollars saved.

And yuck, why would you want to eat 6 CS meals in one day? Endless burgers and fries and chicken fingers and pizza...My kingdom for a sandwich or a Sunshine Seasons meal! I miss the fried chicken place that was in Amity in the Studios.
