Meal Deal??

Trying to plan our first US/IOA vacation, and noticed on the Universal site something about a meal deal? I did a search and found nothing on this site, so I wondered if it was not a good option to purchase?

Anyone used it/plan on using it/will never use it again??

Thanks in advance for the information. And thanks for all the tips/help I have been able to read on the other threads, it is making me a little less worried about being a Newbie!!!!

I've decided not to do it. My kids aren't big eaters so we will never buy enough food in the parks to make it worth our while.

My family did the meal deal and was very dissapointed. Dont get me wrong you can get alot of food but its limited on choices. Especially kids poor SS had to eat spaghetti, hamburgers the whole time and the only dessert he could get was a cookie. Also for our desserts all we could get was the same chocolate or lemon cake or jello at every singel restaurant. We tried chinesse food it was nasty, we tried pizza and pasta the pizza was ok pasta was tastless worse than Fazoli, hamburgers were ok. There are only three restaurants in each park that take the meal deal. In IOA Burger Digs is the best one( great toppings bar) and US International Food and Film has more choices. Now my family ate and ate and ate but they would go to one restaurant order something sit down and eat it and not like it so order something else and not like that so go to another restaurant offering meal deal and try it again. For a family of 5 it saved us money but... I think we are just spoiled by WDW dining plan..Service was the worst at US, rude workers, no consistency as far as one place let us get one thing while the next person would not..

I think we are going to try it for one day and see if we like it. If we don't, it's only one day. If we do, we can get it again.
