Do you have to purchase the meal deal ahead of time, or can you purchase it the day you are at the parks?

I want to order park passes through Universal, but I only want to start with one day on the meal plan. My friends want two days, but I'm not sure it will be a good fit, since the last meal will have to be about 4:30. For this reason, I don't want to get both days ahead of time.

If I purchase the meal plan ahead of time, can I add the Citywalk upgrade on the day we are at the park?

We are four adults that love to eat. The last time we vacationed with these buddies, we had the Disney Dining Plan. They now want this meal plan, but I am sure it will fall short of the DDP. Especially since we all tend to eat dinner long after the parks close. I'm thinking that we will be hungry later at night while we drink our cocktails. Eating later would then negate the "savings" of the meal deal.

Any advise would be helpfu.

You can purchase the Meal Deal at either park so it doesn't have to been done ahead of time.

the meal deal starts at 11:00 and ends 30 minutes before the restaurants close.

if you go to IFFF, you will have a variety of foods to select from.

you can always go there right before closing and order the fruit plate and take it with you for later. it's quite good.

some of the chinese plates are great, salads are good, american fried chicken dinner another favorite.

i have never ordered a burger from this place.
i'm sure they are good but always done the plate food instead.

btw, beverages are not included on the meal deal.
order a glass of water, it's free.

check out the meal deal program for the add on of $6 for the city walk dinner.

i believe it has to be completed before 10 pm.
it includes selected restaurants on a selected menu.

i think the city walk. com site has the details on it.

i have always taken a pass on the add on of cw dinner w/the meal deal.

I have never done the disney plan but I do not think that you can compare the too given the difference in the prices.
