How was the food - We usually do sit down - But it does sound like a good deal.

oh question about the drink - is it a cup to carry around? The last thing I want to do is carry around 4 cups.

If you like to eat a lot...it's a good deal. Otherwise you're probably better off eating where you want. There are no sit down restaurants on the meal deal...it's all counter service. Louie's at the Studios is on the meal deal and the food is really good. At IOA...I prefer Thunder Falls Terrace which is not on the meal deal.

You can purchase a carry around cup if you want but you're right...I wouldn't want to carry a cup around either.

With the meal deal you have to either buy the drink or purchase the sipper cup. I really didn't think it was worth it. Counter service with a drink runs about $10/pp. We're not dessert eaters so for us it really wouldn't be a deal. I also like to eat where I want and I think the meal deal restaurants are limited.

Another question.

Say we are there for 3 days, and on the first day we bought the cups. On the second day if we bought the meal deal, do we have to buy the cups again or can we bring back the cups and get unlimited with them because we bought the meal deal again? Not sure if that makes sense or not.

Really not sure I want to do this. We had planned on doing Mystos, Finnegan's Pub and probably Confisco's. We did these the last time we were there. But....we are at Disney for 18 nights and I could do 3 days of fast food to save some money since we are eating at so many other great places (at least I think I could, lol!)

What I like best about the meal plan is that you don't have to budget daily for meals as everything is paid before you leave. We aren't picky eaters so it's easy to satisfy all 5 of us, and with the 2 park meal deal you also get a meal at certain restaurants at City Walk. The City Walk meals are ordered from a special menu but there was still a lot to choose from I thought. I also liked the fact that my teenagers could grab something to eat whenever they were hungry. If you are going to be eating at some of the fancier restaurants the meal deal won't pay for itself though. Also, keep in mind that the meal deal doesn't include breakfast because it doesn't start until 10:30 am I think. It all depends on how your family eats; where, how often, etc.

Hope that helped! ;)

Thanks everyone. I think DH and I decided that it wasn't worth it for us. We would rather just pay more and eat at Mythos, Finnegans, etc.

We feel the same way. Part of what makes a good vacation is getting to try new foods and restaurants.

I totally agree- plus by going with the free dining we are already having to eat 9 CS meals at Disney in a row for lunches at the end of our trip. We are normally lucky if we do 2-4 CS the entire trip. We normally do sit down lunches for lunch and dinner, so it's going to take some getting used to - the only one that is a must for us is Pizzafari.

Thank you. We went to Raglan Road in December and loved it so I am sure we will like Finnegans
Finnegans is on my list this year cause we have wanted to try it for a long time now :thumbsup2

We waited in Finnegan's before HHN last fall. My DH really enjoyed the bangers and mash and potato/onion webb. I unfortunately was not feeling well at the time, so I didn't eat anything.

We tried the MD a few years ago and found that it made you eat too much to get your money's worth. I don't think we'll be getting it again next Feb.

I have done the Meal Deal several times and found it to be worth it for us. I have 2 teen age boys and a DH who eat a lot.. so they really look forward to MD.

definately buying the meal deal for two growing teenage boys.........prepaid, they are wishing NOT to do sit down meals this trip...............:cool1: they will venture off on their own while we are are in the parks with them, so this allows them to eat how much and when they want..........Louie's pizza is excellent, they can easily eat 4 pieces for lunch only and more for dinner and snacks, so price wise, the meal deal works..................we have our cups already..............they actually hook them onto their belt buckles........don't even know they are there and they can literally fill these up 5 times a day............they eat good at home so go ahead and splurge on junk........we did 8 nights of the deluxe dining at disney this past Feb, now that's a lot of sit down dining but we did fine dining @ Narcoosees (4 nights), Yaghtsman Steakhouse, and some really good casual sit downs for lunch and breakfast so the boys need a break from sit downs:rotfl: we are off to Indian Shores, FL for a week after 4 nights at RPR and the meal deal..........cannot wait.

how much on average pp is finnigans? mythos? any where else good?:confused3
