If memory serves me correctly, the day we check in - we get 3 meal credits, and the day we check out, we don't get any but we're still allowed to use whatever unused credits we still have, correct?

Not sure what meal plan you are on, but we will be on the regular dining plan which will give us 1 Table Service, 1 Counter/Quick Service and 1 Snack credit starting the day we get there. The Regular plan gets you 1 of those each night of your stay, so if you booked 7 nights, you get 7 TS, 7QS, and 7Sn credits, and they don't expire until midnight the day you check out.

That would've helped, sorry!! We'll be on the DDP. And thank you..that's what I thought!! :)

Based on the "three meal credits" it sounds like you're on the Deluxe Dining Plan which gives you three credits per night of your trip per person. So if you're staying for seven nights, you'll have 21 credits (to be used at TS or CS locations) per person.

They are good through the day you check-out (I like to say 11:59:59 pm on your check out day to avoid the confusion about what "midnight" means to folks).

[Edit: Oops...posted at the same time, sorry about that. The DxDP has non-specific credits, whereas the DDP has TS/CS-specific credits.]
[Edit 2: Fixed wording]

You get all of your credits when you check in. They can be used whenever you want to use them until 11:59:59pm of the day you check out.

Thank you all!! Now to start piecing all our ADRs/park days together. :thumbsup2

I believe I meant the DxDP - need more caffeine. :upsidedow

There is a big difference between the DxDP and DDP, so it would be good to know which plan you have.

DxDP: 3 meal credits plus 2 snack credits and a refillable mug
DDP: 1 table service credit, 1 counter service credit, 1 snack credit and a refillable mug

On the DxDP you can use your meal credits at either TS or CS location, whereas the DDP has specific credits. Plus there is the difference in snack credits.

Also, when using credits, for the DxDP you get an appetizer, entree, dessert, and standard non-alcoholic drink when at a TS location, whereas with the DDP you only get an entree, dessert, and standard non-alcoholic drink for your TS credit.

Essentially, does your dining plan cost about $52/night or $86/night?

I looked at my reservation when I got home and its indeed the DxDp. :)

:sad2:

I recently booked a Deluxe Plan, and as explained to me..... Your credits are
based on the amount of NIGHTS you stay. NOT the amount of days.

So--If you are staying 6 nights and 7 days, you will get 18 credits. (NOT 21)

Double-Check though....... just to make sure :) :yay:

The dining plan is based on your number of night stay, so at some point you will have to pay OOP for something.

However, your dining credits are good until midnight of the night you check out.

That was a typo...I meant to say "7 nights" because based on the OPs original statement, it seemed like they would be there for 7 nights.
So, 6-nights => 18 meal credits, 12 snack credits per person
Or, 7-nights => 21 meal credits, 14 snack credits per person
