I was wondering how much meals will cost in general at Disney. I'm sure they can vary depending on the meal, but what can I expect for a "quick" bite to eat in the park?

I was looking on Ebay at the meal vouchers. Are they worthwhile? They average about $13-15 per meal.

Please help a rookie out!:(

Go to www.allearsnet.com There is a complete listing of menus for all the restaraunts in the parks and resorts....We usually budget $100 per day for food, for 2 adults and 1 child (4) which includes drinks and snacks throughout the day.

And check the budget board for a sticky about meal vouchers. Don't buy them from ebay. Whether they are worth it depends on how you are going to eat - if you want dessert and a pop and pay $11 for them, they generally save a few dollars. If you just grab a burger, skip the fries and split a pop for the whole family, they won't save you anything.

I wouldn't buy the vouchers on e-bay as they are overpriced. They only cost $11.50 through various savings clubs and with paying that you usually break even or come out $1 - $2 ahead on at most places except Beaches and Cream and the Pepper Market. This is if you order a meal, drink and dessert.

For my upcoming trip I plan on budgeting at least $100 a day for food (and we will have a few vouchers as well) for my family of four.

Thanks for the info! I'll skip the vouchers and just plan for $100 per day for the three of us.

I love these boards! They are so very helpful to a rookie like me!

I budget $1000 for the week (8 days, including snacks and meals at the airport, in travel, etc.). That is for 4...my dh and I and our boys ages 4 & 8.

Wow you guys are big spenders!
I spent 4 1/2 days in the parks and spent about $200-$250. Me and 3 kids 5, 8 & 10.

We did eat breakfast at the resort and only did counter service meals. Had ice cream, popcorn, etc. We could have easily spent more if we wanted to! My favorite tip I got off this site, or maybe it was mousesavers, was to buy a double burger and order an extra bun! Everyone else in the family laughed at how excited I was over this!!! We did it a few times!

You should be pretty comfortable with $100/day.

Depends how much you eat. I would think we are about as light a eaters as it gets.

We had a big, free, continental breakfast in our hotel.

We spent $10-20 in Disney on lunch for 2 Adults and 2 children. We rarely had ordered more than 3 meals as they were large enough for us to share.

Snacks. We almost always had an ice cream each $10 (for 4) also a couple of other snacks, maybe the odd hotdog or popcorn, or sodas. $10 day

Evening meal and drinks offsite for 4. $30-40 plus tip, say $45. We ate at Bahama Breeze, Olive Garden, Jungle Jims, Chilis.

Our meal at Boma for the four of us $85 inc. 20%+tip.

Chef Mickeys Breakfast for the four of us $56 plus tip.

I usually figure about $75 a day for the two of us (adults). We usually eat one sit down meal a day and one counter service. We usually have one or two snacks a day in the parks. We carry our own water in and we usually just eat pop tarts or something like that for breakfast. Some days we spend a little more than this, and others we spend a little less, so it evens out over the week.

We are closer to the $150 mark per day now (2 adults, 2 preschoolers). But we do a sit down dinner of three courses each evening and drink alcohol. A drink by the pool, another with dinner, and one or two nights, a nightcap.

I budgeted $175 per day for 2 adults and 1 4 year old. This is with 2 sit down meals (quite a few character meals) plus snacks, drinks and dessert.

We budget $150/ day for 2 adults and 2 young children. We eat a couple of sit down breakfasts; don't really eat lunch, except for maybe a snack; but do enjoy a nice sit down dinner each evening. Also, have to allow for a some grown up drinks here and there!

We dont have a particular budget for food but I do things to cut some of the costs. For example we do belong to Hotwire savings. In addition to buying a few Q&C we buy some of the vacation kingdom lunch vouchers and split a great meal at RFC. I also buy the Planet Hollywood certs (pay $25 and get a $5 rebate back) plus we use our DVC cards or AP to get 10% off the meal and then pay for the meal with the certs that I saved 20% on buying.
For our June trip I have several meals already paid for:
Pepper Market--vouchers (paid for)
Beaches & Cream--vouchers (paid for)
RFC--vouchers (paid for)
Planet Hollywood--vouchers (paid for)
HRC--vouchers (paid for)
Nascar--vouchers (paid for)
Chef Mickey's--using disney dream dollar rewards
Garden Grill--using disney dream dollar rewards
