I'm thrilled to leave Fridayam, but I'm a little worried about an accurate budget for us. A few years ago, we went with money to spare so I didn't keep track of what we spent, but this time we're definately on a budget.

So, if we have snacks and cereal at the hotel, is an average of $100 per day for myself and a 9 year old a good budget? I want to be able to throw in an occasional cupcake or ice cream and still stay in budget. We're doing one day at Minnie and Friends, one WOC dinner (I know we need extra that night), and one Big Thunder Ranch BBQ.

Also, do Disney gift cards work at Rainforest Cafe or HOB? We have coupons for those if we decide to use them.

thats what we spend when dd and I go... and that includes at least 1 (sometimes 2) sit-down meals a day + snacks! good planning! :thumbsup2

The three of us have used 100/day for food AND souvenirs for the 3 of us. So I'm sure 100 will be good.

have you looked at the menus online? wdwinfo.com (the dis) has menus, and if you want to contrast/compare, check out the disneyland section of allears.net as well.

I use $50/person/day... So the $100/day for the 2 of you looks spot on! :thumbsup2

Wonderful! Thanks so much, everyone. It sounds like we'll be just fine then. If we do have any left over, that's more for souvenirs!
