Okay, we are still having the big rent a car V. me debate. We see the pros/cons of doing it both ways.

My question is about ME from the airport. Has anyone ever checked in at the airport, let them get your bags, but then rented a car and drove yourself? Same thing with the return?

You can't use ME as a luggage delivery service. What we typically do is one of us rides the ME bus with kids and the other adult picks up the rental car at MCO and we all meet back up at the resort. Sometimes, one kids goes with one parent also. Another thing you can do is p/u the rental car within WDW, there are three locations, Buena Vista Palace, Disney Car Care Center and the Swan.

Having a rental car is essential for us so it's worth the little extra hastle.
