I am in my final week panic mode and just realized that we will have to come home from this vacation. LOL
We are flying USAir. and it is not a participating airline.
How do we get our luggage from the hotel to the plane? I know it rides on the bus with us but are there skycaps to meet the bus? I will have alot of luggage and don't want to try to manage it all ourselves. TIA

This is an issue for those using DME...since it drops you off at the lowest level, there aren't always a lot of skycaps around. You may get lucky and find one. Or you may have to use one of those luggage cart thingies. This is the only downside to DME. Those who use towncars, cabs...get dropped off at the departure area, on the next level up, if I remember correctly. Many more people there to help with the luggage.

that doesn't sound very magical. I guess the vacation is really over when they dump you off. Maybe I'll luck out, I can't cart 6 suitcases, caryons and 2 kids with the 2 of us. I'll save some change for the carts. where do you have to go to check in?

The carts are $3. You would go to the 3rd floor on the B side to check in with US Airways. You might want to consider not taking as many suitcases.

When we used ME in September with SW, when the ME bus dropped us off, it was skycap central. There must have been 20 of them. We waited to get off the bus last, and by then, they had all been taken....the last skycap that was taking someone else up asked us if we needed help and we said yes. He said he would send someone out. Within 5 minutes, a skycap came. Great guy too. :thumbsup2

I wish I could take less but it never works out that way with 2 princesses. :rotfl: I am also a card carrying member of "overpackers annonymous" and a former Girl Scout.

We are leaving in the middle of the afternoon so I would think it would be optimum time for lots of Skycaps to be on duty. I just wanted to be sure they went down there. If not, I'll tuck $6 away for carts. thanks for the info on the price, I've never had to use one before.
