ME to CR....does it drop there first?

I imagine it shares with either the Polynesian /GF or WL.....anyone know the drop off schedule? The reason I ask is we are surprising DS and I need to now ahead of time what *story* I am going to come up wIth for our boarding of ME...

There aren't any specific routes. It depends on need. You could discreetly ask the driver what route is planned, i.e. let everybody except one adult board the bus to preserve the secret.

I dont recall the exact route but when we went in January the CR was the last resort to be dropped off. My sister and I were the only ones on the bus for the CR. I know that we stopped at 4 resorts I just do not recall the order but it was the WL, Poly, GF and the CR.

When we were there in April the ME bus we were on went to Poly then GF then CR. In 2006 the bus went to WL and then to CR.

Thnaks everyone, you know, the uncertain order may work to our advantage...he REALLY will have no idea which one we are getting off at and I do not have to tell a white lie The birthday boy thinks we are just staying in Orlando, maybe hitting SeaWorld and TL if we have time...since he is hoping to rent a mouseboat again and loves to rent from CR...I think I will just say, oh lets get off here to rent the boat, and then proceed to go to check-in....it is so sweet that ME delivers bags later, we can travel so lightly and flexible the first day and pull off ( hopefully) a surprise like this!

I just wanted to say I hope your able to surprise him and I am sure he will be very excited when he finds out your staying at the Contemporary.

We took ME once to the BW, and really didn't like it. It added at least an hour to our travel time - I debated getting out of line a few times, but the line was short (it was early December0.

So, just to toss this out, maybe take a towncar?

I may be in the minority, but we really thought ME was a pain for us, and we took a cab back. I love a towncar, they stop for you on the way, and it's so quick - they help with your bags also. Totally worth it. I'd look into it?

thank you ...other than asking for his preference of interior hallways at hotels, CR tower MK view is the ONLY place DS has asked to stay at, repeatedly...of all the places we have traveled, and of our trips to WDW. (We have stayed at many exterior doorway hotels/resorts, and he has been freaked out on many a occaision by spiders etc *hanging* around the door waiting to join us)so when he realizes that we are actually staying in the tower, he is going to freak! The coolest part is we are checking in the day before his 15th BDay so he can wake up to that view ON his real birthday ( of course, we are going to hustle him to DHS/ or MK..or wherever he chooses as that is our only full park day)but hten the next mornig will be a relaxing one to enjoy and the resort as well. It is a bittersweet weekend as we will have all the excitement of staying at CR, but then we have to drop DD off at college and we will not see her until Christmas. We all miss her terribly when she is at school as we are from Illinois and she attends in Sarasota. It is getting complicated to keep it a secret, but we keep saying we're going to try and go to SeaWorld, that is why we are flying into Orlando instead of Sarasota Wow, that response got way off track...anyway, thanks for the good wished and I agree, I hope we can surprise him too!

You had a bad experience, but an out-of-the-ordinary experience. It isn't "normal" for DME to take much longer than a car service would take.
