We are flying in and renting a car for a quick one nighter to the ocean before going to wdw. We want to return the car and then take me to the hotel. Is there some way to book that if there is no flight info for that day? We probably will check in at our hotel even before returning the car so that we don't have to haul luggage and kids so we don't have to worry about the luggage part. Just want dh to have a ride back to all stars after returning the car. Any suggestions appreciated.

Why not rent from National or Alamo, and return the car to either the Car Care Center or the Dolphin?

You can book DME for that ride. Just give them flight info for that day, rather than for the day you actually arrive. You are basically pretending to arrive a day later.
But, as katieldr said, why not just rent through Alamo or National and drop off at the Dolphin or CCC?

stupic question where is the car care center? I am considering do a rental. Not sure if we'll get our monies worth however. My only concern is getting off property once mid trip to restock perishables and late night at the hddr to get back.

The Care Care Center is over by the MK. In order to rent here, you have to call them several hours, or the night before, you need to get there to pick up your car. Then, a shuttle bus picks you up and takes you to the CCC. You get your reserved car, and go about your business. When it's time to return the car, you drive to the CCC, return the car and take the shuttle back.
