ME Package -- Already?

We don't leave for Disney and AOA until October 18 (113 more sleeps ). We received our ME tags and booklet yesterday.

As many times as we have been to WDW, we have never received our ME information less than 30 days out. Is this a new development?

Not complaining, just wondering.

Wow! That is early. I've always received my ME mailing around 3 to 4 weeks before checkin. That included the trip we just took at the end of May. Did you check the dates on the booklet and make sure there wasn't a mistake on your arrival date?

That's what I was going to say...check the arrival dates and make sure those are correct. That is REALLY early to get them. Though, I was surprised because we got ours 42 days out for our trip next month...I thought THAT was early!

Yes, that's actually the first thing I did when I opened it. I was sure it was going to have the wrong info. on it but it's all 100% accurate.

So strange.

Nope, definitely not paid in full. I have only paid the required one night's deposit.

Okay, this thread made me nervous! We got our packet a couple of weeks ago. We aren't checking in until Sept. 9th. I was afraid the dates were wrong, LOL! So I went flying over to my travel file and pulled the envelope out.

Everything is fine. Dates are correct. It was mailed 6/11 - which was just a few days after I went to the DME site and entered all our info. I'm thinking that has something to do with it. Maybe Disney sends DME your info at around 30 days out, but if you give them the info yourself, they go ahead and send it?

We will be there mid October as well. Our ME packet was post marked May 25th, and we received it around the 1st of June. We haven't paid our trip off, the dates are correct, so I don't know why they are here so early.

In the DME packet, you will receive a booklet that contains the vouchers you will present to board the bus and the yellow luggage tags (1 per person) that you put on your bags so DME will get them and transport them to your resort.

Thanks for the Link to DME! My girls and I are arriving 3 days ahead of DH and he is taking a totally different airline.... the DME link allowed me to set up the split arrival - YEAH.
I love Disney Customer Service but there have been some cases where I have been let down or left wondering if they really got what I needed .

Now I know it is entered the way I want it to read and had no idea there was a website to DIY.

Same here....I called the ME number to add our flight info. I wonder since I did it that way, our ME package will be sent at the designated 45 days or less time frame. I am fine with that because then I know our trip will be coming up shortly . We have 61 days until we are riding on the ME heading to the Poly .
