Can someone explain the process from WDW to MCO. I know that you get your boarding passes at the front desk. Does you luggage go ahead of you? If so how do you get a receipt for the luggage from the Airline, we are flying DL if that matters.
What happens if you miss your flight?
DL is a participating airline. So, you check in at the Resort airline check in desk (usually it is not at the front desk), chick your luggage. You will get your boarding pass in a sleeve with your luggage receipts stapled to it just as if you checked in at the airline counter at the airport.
When you check out of the resort and have bell services get your luggage, just tell them you need to go to the airline check in desk and they weill take you and the luggage there.
It is a very nice feature however there are some requirements.
1. You can check in at the resort airline desk 3-12 hours before your flight (no more, no less)
2. the resort airline check in desk is only open from 5:30AM to about 1:30 PM.
So, if you have a flight earlier than 8:30AM you can't use the service. If your flight is a late flight (say 10pm) and you planned on spending the day in a park, you would have to have bell services store your luggage. You would then have to go back to the resort at lunch to get your luggage and check in at the airline desk.
If you don't want to break up your day, you would just go back to your resort, get your luggage, and get on the ME bus. You would then have to check in at the airport with your luggage. The ME bus will typically pick you up 3 hours before your flight.
