ME one way in the middle of the trip?????

I'm flying with DS and Dx on Jan 5th. We are renting an car so don't need ME to get to the resort. However, Dx is only staying for the weekend (DS and I are staying until the 12th). Would ME transport him back to the airport in the middle of our resort stay? If not, I'll have to drive him back on Sunday the 8th. DS and I won't be using ME at all. Confusing?
