ME flight change notification

I purchased my flights awhile ago and since then, the flights have changed, along with the carrier several times, meaning, Midwest to Frontier, to NWA, back to Midwest. I haven't notified ME of my flights yet because I figured this was going to happen, but now that the trip is getting closer I would like to call them and let them know my flight numbers so I receive my documents on time. My question is, does ME track all the changes to the flights. Meaning, if I give them a flight number and it changes to something else, do I have to call them back and let them know, or is there a "paper trail" of all the changes to flight numbers that they can view? Anybody know or had this happen to them? TIA.

I would call them and let them know. If the flight time changes, they do get it. But in your case it's possible the airline rebooked you on different flights so DME may not be able to track it.

It is most important on your departure flight that they have the correct information, because this will set your ME departure time at your resort.

That being said, I booked my ME with the flight number and time as originally posted. Over the months, the flight departure time slid from 6:00 pm to 6:37 pm, which would mean a later pick-up time for ME. I didn't mind leaving earlier, but sure enough ME did pick up the time change and our ME pick-up time shifted accordingly.

However, if you change carriers, that could be a different story. It is best to check and make sure they have the correct information.

You don't have to keep calling DME every time the airline makes a change. You can wait until say one week before you leave home and, if the difference is profound, give DME a call.

Don't bother to call and discuss the trip back home until after you get down there. Less confusion, less of a chance of screwing something up.

My concern is our luggage. So, even if our flights change after we receive our yellow tags, is it safe to assume that our luggage will eventually make it to our hotel? I am guessing that by now, airport workers are familiar with the yellow tags and know that those bags go to Disney, right? I really don't want to haul luggage on to Magical Express, that's the whole draw of the service.

Definately call them a week or so before you travel and make sure they have the correct information. You're better safe than sorry.

Arrival time into MCO does not matter at all, especially pertaining to the yellow luggage tags. The only information on those yellow tags is your resort information. They DO NOT care what flight your luggage came in on.

The only reason you need to give them your arriving flight number is if you have a latish flight that could get delayed. If you are delayed and they have your flight number in the system, they will ensure personnel are on hand to transport you.

However, having said that, the absolute worse case scenario is you arrive at the DME desk at 2am and no one is there. However, there will be a sign at the desk with a phone number for you to call, and transportation will be dispatched for you to take you to your resort.

Now, for the return back to the airport, even if that flight number and time is incorrect before you leave home, there is plenty of time to correct it once you arrive at the DME desk, and/or correct it with your resort front desk.

So essentially, if your arrival date and resort is correct, then there really is no reason to call them before you leave.
