ME and airport use....

I have a question,please no flames....as I am asking honestly ,not to be a cheater.... Is ME only to be used when getting off the plane to a Disney resort? for instance,what if we were to return a car rental to the airport,then take ME to our hotel (disney) could that (would that) be something we could do? Or would we have to 'cheat' something in order to make it work....thanks for any answers....(thinking of using the car for some local fun, then heading to WDW after flying in....

No you do not have to be flying in that day.

No cheating involved at all. Every person with a WDW resort reservation, is entitled to ride the DME bus from MCO to their resort, and then back to the airport again.
You do have to make a reservation to ride the bus though. So, call whoever you booked your resort stay with, and have them add DME to your reservation.

Absolutely not cheating, but returning the rental at a WDW location will probably save you at least an hour, maybe 3, of valuable vacation time.

In our case, we were staying off site the last two nights. I couldn't find a decent rate anywhere except MCO. I simply made the reservation for ME to take me back to the airport on our check out day, I picked up the car, and headed back to POR to pick up the family. It was very slick. I used online check in with Alamo, so all I had to do was exit the DME bus, walk to Alamo, pick the car, drive to the exit booth, and I was on my way back to POR.
