My 6 yo son and I are arriving at MCO on a 9:30 pm flight. I am taking a carry on with pj's and bedtime stuff. We are checking one other bag. I do not want that second bag brought to us until the morning. Should I tell the CM at the ME desk in the airport to have then hold the bag until the morning or just tell the CM when I check in at the hotel? Thanks for the info!

We've done this several times.

I've never told the CM at the DME counter. I do tell them when I'm checking in at our resort, but then once we're in our room, I also call to Bell Services, or Luggage Assistance and let them know to please hold it until we call for them in the morning.

And, for good measure, I also stick the "Do Not Disturb" card in our lock. That way I figure all our bases are covered!

How much after 930 pm are you arriving? There are Baggage services after 10 pm so if your flight is late or landing you need to get your own bag.

Our flight is scheduled to land at 9:25. It is on Southwest and we have very often been early so I am hoping we won't have to worry about the checked bag. I hadn't thought to call luggage services when we get in but that is a good idea. I had thought earlier of using the Do No Disturb sign but thanks for the reminder :) The first time we used ME (in May 2005 when it first started) and asked them to hold the bags they came immediately after I called for them the following morning. The second time we tried having them hold the bags until morning they were delivered very late and we weren't too happy.

As long as you arrive ontime, you should be fine. I would tell the CM at the resort not to bring your bag to you that night. Then, head over to Bell Services and tell them as well. Hang that 'Privacy Please' hanger out on your door when you turn in for the night...just in case.
