ME/AAA baggage ticket question

I originally booked my Oct. package ressies thru AAA. We are using Skymiles for our flights, so I booked flight reservations on Song myself. I had given my AAA agent our flight #s and details, but now our flights have changed and we are no longer on Song, but will fly Continental. (Song pulled all flights from EWR). Do I need to contact AAA to let them know of the change of airlines, or won't that matter? And can I safely assume that Continental participates in ME? Will our baggage tickets be affected by our change of air lines?

Since AAA booked your Disney accomodations, they technically are the ones who need to make/update your DME reservations and info. If they won't do it because they didn't book the airfare, try calling DME yourself and explain why it's you who's calling.

No matter what airline you fly, you can use DME. On the flight into Orlando, EVERYONE gets their luggage delivered for them and gets a free bus ride. The only difference an airline makes is for your trip back home. Because Continental is a participating airline, you can check your luggage and get your boarding pass at your resort on your day of departure.

Your actual DME tags don't have any flight info on them, so you won't need new DME tags in case you already received yours. But it will be important that DME knows your flight info so all services can be coordinated.
