Can someone help me really quickly? I am managing plans for my daughter's fiance for this trip, but I need him to open an account so that he can mobile order etc. Can someone walk me through the steps so that I can connect the profile that I have for him, to the account he will create for himself? Thanks so much!

I just talked to IT guest services about this on Monday, this is the procedure they gave me.
  1. The fiancé creates a MDE account. Note the email address they use
  2. In you MDE, Friends and Family, under the fiancé’s listing you’ll see “Share Plans with …”
  3. You select that and enter the email address use for t he fiancee’s new MDE acct.
  4. Fiancé will get an invitation to merge plans
  5. If there are existing plans on both accts, this can casue some to overwrite, but with a new acct, it’ll just add the plans to the new acct.

I just had to do this for my brother in-law. I already had him added under friends and family. I went into that and selected his name and then hit "invite this guest to connect" which prompted me to send him an email. He got an email prompting him to set up and account and connect to me.

Oh! I think I have the same situation --- so the fiancee existed in your account, had a ticket attached to him, but no MDE of his own? You followed these steps and the ticket is still attached to him?

I need to create accounts for my older teenagers, so they can use mobile magic

The tickets (and any MagicBands, etc.) would transfer from the managed profile to the newly created MDE account once the friend request is accepted.

Great question and responses! Thank-you! I really should do this for my now older teenagers. I was afraid to touch anything while we were there because we had our park reservations all set for over a year and I didn't want to risk anything happening to them. I ended up just giving my children my sign on so they could mobile order. I should make the change now that we have returned (my children are almost 20 now).

Yes...this is my concern. That somehow I'll screw up the park reservations. ANd the only time I had to re-assign tickets I ended up at guest service window forever while they tried to undo whatever mess I created. - so I don't want to re-assign tickets again.

123SA- everything transferred over to his account, and all our plans are still there! I think the key is not to have them make any plans before you 'share' with them!
