We have a trip coming up and I'm managing the FPs and everything for the four of us. We have FPs scheduled each day. If my teenager now adds MDE to their phone, and creates an account, could that possibly screw up their FPs (that I've already created)? I don't want to take any risks here...

I believe you'd have to give your teenager permission via the website to have access to edit your already made FPs & ADRs. We had a similar thing happen to us. My brother in law didn't like the FPs I made so he created his own MDE account and once linked to our trip could manage his own FPs.

Thank you. I just read from someone else that they recommend not creating an account for someone after you have your FP plans set with them in it as it can create some tech issues with multiple accounts. Hopefully you didn't experience that.

What would your teen be using the MDE app for? If you want them to be able to book their own FPs then you would probably have to give them access to your account since you already have a profile for them there with their FPs. Doing so would give them access to change/screw up FPs you already made. If they make their own profile, they wouldn't have access to any of the plans you made unless you link the accounts together and then you could still potentially have the same issue of them screwing things up.

Is it the same for ADR’s? My daughter turns 18 in February and we have a trip in June. I’ve already made ADR’s, but our fastpass window isn’t until April. I had her download MDE and was planning on having her take over her account once she turns 18 so she can link her magic band to her bank account and be able to track her own spending and such. There’s also a chance that we may hop to separate parks in the afternoon and I wanted her to have the freedom to choose her own Fastpasses beyond the first 3 that we do in the AM.

One of kids wanted their own account after 18 and we already had a trip mostly planned. We also experienced a lot of tech issues on that trip. We fixed it after we came home and haven't had an issue since.

We are here now. There are 10 of us and I just gave everyone my log in and password, it works out good that way.

Unless she is planning to go on her own at some point soon, I would just give her the password to your account. I was under the impression if you had separate accounts you're supposed to be able to charge separately and avoid the trip to the front desk, but in practice it all went onto the same credit card anyway and a trip to the front desk was needed to set the band up anyway. At the front desk they can set the credit card up with or without separate MDE accounts.

No issues with ADRs, only the person who made the original booking can cancel the reservation through their account. She can make additional ADRs on her own account, even those at conflicting times with your existing ADRs, and both will co-exist.

What did you have to do to fix it?
It involved calling Disney IT and having them delete the extra person(they thought our 18 year old was 2 different people). It was easier while we didn't have plans to mess up because it ended up that some fastpasses were under one "person" and some were the other.
