MDE question regarding people/profiles/reservations

A while back, when MDE was pretty new, my DH and I both had MDE accounts. He created his after I created mine-- it was not a problem initially, though I have seen where spouses should probably share an account (or am I imagining that?).
However, when I made my most recent WDW reservation, the system would not let me add him to my room. So I created a new 'person' with his name, in my rush to make the reservation. Now, of course, I realize that the 'old' him is who his non-expiring ticket is linked to. I tried to go under 'change reservations' but it doesn't seem to have a way to edit the guests in our room? Ugh. I know this is user error on our parts. Am I going to have to call IT or is there a way to get him (and his non-exp ticket) linked up to our room? If it weren't for needing to make FP reservations, I wouldn't even bother.

There's never a reason to have more than one MDE account for a family.

Now you need to link his MDE to your MDE by inviting him to join your MDE. Go to the bottom of your family/friends list where you'll be able to do the invite.

After he is linked up and if his name matches the reservation, delete your DH#2 from your family list. You'll then have only one DH with tickets linked to your MDE.

I disagree on no reason for more than 1 MDE account but you can fix your problem by getting on the phone and having the accounts merged together or do the above recommendation to link them together and then you'll be able to see and manage them for reservations and other things.. It's pretty easy to link the accounts together.

The reason to have more than 1 mde account is if you both need to get into the app while on the trip. This way you can split up, they can look up stuff if they are sitting out a ride and help out or maybe there's some reason your splitting up and you both need to manage whoever you are with and what your doing from teh app. (including directions on how to get between places or wait times). I do this with my daughter and we originally had 1 mde account and it became a problem with the app so she made herself one and once linked it was like we had the same account again.
