MDE - Legal name vs. what you go by

For an upcoming trip, can I change the first names in the MDE to be what we go by and not our legal/given names? Or is that going to cause a huge problem?

Ours is set up that way and I've never had an issue. Note that if your resort reservation is made while logged in to this account it may be the name on the reservation. For me it was not a big deal, as I go by a very common shortened spelling of my first name. When I checked in for my reservation there was no issues with the names not exactly matching my ID.
