MDE help with removing friends/family

I travelled last year with my Dad and Stepmother, we all shared a room and I handled all of their accounts through my MDE and room reservation. I now want to delete them as I will be soon connecting with a much bigger family group to plan with on our next trip and just don't want their names to get caught up when I am booking fast passes for everyone.

There are 2 options when I click "update" next to their name on my Friends & Family list. One says remove from My List and says "Are you sure you want to remove (name)" but it says MY name, not the person I am trying to remove.

The other option says remove from This List but says they have an active admission or plans and cannot be removed at this time. They don't have either active tickets OR plans. I have an AP but they just had a 4 day park ticket last year...

Anyone ever do this? Or know the right way to get them off of my list?

Actually, I just went in and in the upper right is a Remove from this list button. I don't have anyone I want to remove, but I would try that.

ETA: I see you tried this. I would call, then.
 
I tried but ended up having to call to get them deleted. You can go into your settings and set it to not allow them to see anything beyond what you are planning together. But going though a CM was the only way to get them off my MDE.

I was afraid of that. They don't even have the MDE app so it wasn't about them not seeing my plans just streamlining the friends and family list as I have a trip of 14 (including us) that I will be the primary planner for. Extra names (all with the SAME last name) gets a little crazy. The less in there the better.

Looks like I will be making a call soon. Thanks!

I did.... In my original post I explained one says they have active tickets/plans (they don't). The other says its removing MY name, not theirs...:confused3

I will probably just call to be safe.

Yes, even then, I never did get my one sister in law removed but I did get the majority off.
 
Try going into the magicband section and deactivate the bands of those you wish to delete. Once that's done you should be able to remove them.

THANK YOU!!!! Totally didn't even think about their active magic bands! Deactivated them. The website version of MDE was giving me problems still but I was able to delete them from the phone app. Thank you!!!

Not necessarily. I have the same situation as the OP and the friend has an inactive ticket from our 2014 trip. I can't delete her, I got the same things the OP has. I only want her gone because we aren't linked, she's actually there so it's a bit annoying when I'm doing stuff but not enough to call about at this point.

I was just offering suggestions on what worked for me. Once the bands were deactivated I could remove people. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. You may need to call
 
I had issues also (going with a trip of 16 people this time and needed to get some old accounts off). My son started a new account this year, but the old account I managed last year was NOT removable. I finally had to call and it turned out his band from last year was still active. The CM on the phone took care of and then got everyone else fixed up really quickly.
