MDE and offsite?

Sorry if this has been answered but we usually stay onsite. We are traveling with a large group (16) and renting a house this summer. Will we still be able to use the MDE app and make fast pass reservations or do we have to use the kiosks at the parks? If we can use the MDE do we have to wait till the day of to make the reservations or is there a time frame(24 hours prior) that we have to make them?
I am trying to work out the strategy and from what I can decipher it looks like our best option will be to get to the parks at rope drop and then have fast past reservations for later in the afternoon as it gets more crowded. What does everyone think?

Offsite guests with AP can make FP+ reservations 30 days in advance using MDE.

As it stands now, all other offsite guests are stuck using the Kiosks. As always, this is subject to change.
