MCO TSA pre check line

I have both the TSA and MCO app on my phone and the TSA app says TSA pre check is not open at MCO and to use the standard lanes but you still follow the pre check rules. Just curious if this is a new thing at MCO? Enrolled in pre check a year or so ago to help shorten lines but it sounds like it is not operating at the airport i need it for most. Just wondering if anyone has info on how it works right now at MCO. Thanks.

Where are you seeing that? I have the MCO app and cannot see anything like that. I only see the normal TSA precheck info that I've used in the past and nothing appears to be changed there.

It’s on the My TSA app on my phone. I actually could not find any info on it through the MCO app. It says wait times are 15-30 right now and that TSA pre check passengers should go through regular TSA lines.

I was just at MCO picking up a relative a few hours ago. PreCheck was definitely open.

Precheck lanes do close at a certain time, I can’t remember what time tho it’s late in the day. We took a late flight 1 trip & went thru security after precheck closed. The regular lines weren’t that long & we did get to follow the precheck rules. The agent checking IDs gave us a special card which we put in the bin with our carry ons. We were able to keep our shoes on, liquids in the carry on etc. I think they do it because lines are much shorter in the late evening. I was a little annoyed at first too, but it was fine.
