this trip we are connecting in Chicago vs. Toronto. Previously we've gone through customs in Toronto on our way home. I'm wondering now, though - when we leave MCO, are we considered "domestic" flyers, or international? If my understanding is correct, we won't be going through customs until we reach Winnipeg, so the MCO to Chicago flight will be domestic. Soooo....does that mean we can check-in using RAC, and can we use the normal timing for DME rather than the 4-hour pick-up for international flights?

We have flown back from MSP to Regina before and could not use RAC because our final destination was international. So no you will have to go by the international rules and leave your resort 4 hours prior to departure.

This is from DME's FAQ:

If I am departing for an international destination, can I use the Resort Airline Check-In Service?
No. At this time, the service is available only if you are flying domestically (including Puerto Rico). If you are flying internationally, you must check in directly with your airline at Orlando International Airport.
