Who can suggest the best/least conested/most scenic route from the Orlando Airport to WDW. My husband and I are staying at the Wyndham Palace and have been studying maps (ingenious how they managed to fit those toll roads in between the airport and WDW!!) to figure out which would be used primarily by tourist and which would be used by Orlando area commuters.

Also does anyone know if the Florida toll system is set up to accept EZ Pass?

wow, so you want a fast route with pretty views and no traffic? I usually just take the Central Florida Tpk? (Bee Line or whatever its called) You're there in 15-20 and you can see the pretty trees and new construction everywhere :) They have there own pass system there which is not compatable with our EZ Pass.

Most of what you want you can get by taking the SOUTH exit from the airport to the Greeneway (417). This will avoid I-4 altogether. In the early mornings, 417 is a lovely drive, with mist hanging over all the little ponds and lakes, and no traffic to speak of.

During off-peak times, I actually enjoy going North from the airport and taking the Beeline to I-4, because I get to see all the WDW and Universal billboards advertising the attractions. It gets me in a good frame of mind.

Another advantage to taking the Greeneway is that there is an *extremely* convenient market just off the highway at 17/92, if you want to stock up before heading to WDW.
