Arriving at MCO 7pm. Would like to go direct to DTD without going to resort ( Port Orleans French Quarter) but hate to take carryons. Any way to put carryons on ME and have them unloaded and saved til we get to resort 3hours later?

I don't think so, unless you simply didn't carry on the carryons, and checked them instead.

But how are you getting to DTD directly from MCO to begin with?

ME will only take your to your resort and there is no ME bus from MCO to DTD.

Realistically, if you're going to use ME, then your best option is to go to POFQ and drop off your carry-ons with bell services. Then head over to DTD.

Your options are...
1. bus to POFQ, drop off your bags, and boat to DTD
2. cab or car service from MCO to DTD, with your carryon bags
3. check all bags, no carryon at all, and cab or car service to DTD.

Aren't there lockers at DTD?

No lockers, to the best of my knowledge.

Another option would be for the original poster to ship everything in advance, then take the Lynx 111 bus to Downtown Disney. It's not nonstop by any means, but it runs between the airport and the shopping district, and costs just $2.00 per passenger. Trip takes about an hour.

To the OP, if you opt for option 2 or 3, don't forget to pick up any checked luggage at baggage claim before you leave MCO.

I'm pretty sure lockers are near the boat rental location. I sort of remember lockers near guest services.

There is a "sticky" where posters discuss using DME for "luggage only".
