When I lived in Orlando, I always used Mears Transportation to get to/from the airport. I'm sure you know, but they run Disney's Magical Express service. I never had any problems and I liked the fact that they were large enough where a broken-down vehicle or driver who calls in sick isn't going to cause major issues.

Pricing a one-way trip from the airport to one of the Disney Springs Hotels, I get the following pricing. This is based on 2 adults and 2 children.
- Shared Van Service: $73.80 (may make multiple stops)
- Luxury Sedan: $80.10
- Luxury SUV: $96.30
To me, spending an extra $6.30 for direct service via the sedan is a no-brainer. However, I have no idea how car seats work. If you will have your own, you are probably set. Otherwise, you'll have to contact Mears.
Unfortunately, the transfer from the Disney Springs Hotel to your Disney Resort will also incur a charge. You'll have to use a cab or "shared ride" service to transport your party and luggage to your second hotel.
As the transportation costs start to add up, it might be easiest to stay in the airport area on your arrival date and use Disney's Magical Express. Or, you might consider renting a car for that first day. Pick up the car at MCO and drop it off at Disney World. The most obvious choice is Alamo, as you can return it to the Car Care Center, WDW Dolphin, or Hilton Buena Vista Palace (across the street from Disney Springs). Alternatively, there are other rental car locations at the various Disney Springs Hotels:
Avis, Dollar, Budget, and Enterprise.
In my experience, most rental car companies will not charge one-way or drop fees for intra-Florida rentals. You will probably have to pay for one-night of parking at your first hotel, but it still might work out to be cheaper because you won't have to pay to move everyone and everything to the Disney resort.
