O.k so on our return flight after ME picks us up 3 hours in advance of our flight home and we are sitting at the airport waiting....is there someplace we can catch dinner ??
Our flight is at 630pm and we will need some grub so who can tell me what's around the airport for eats??
:)

There are a lot of food choices at MCO. A huge food court with all sorts of fast food, like Chik-filet, pizza, chinese, McDonalds... probably 8 or 10 more. I don't remember if there are any real sit down places.

There is also an arcade and LOTS of shopping... so your time there will fly by!

Restaurants and Bars

Orlando International Airport features a wide selection of restaurants and bars. These include Hemispheres, Chili's Too, Macaroni Grill, McDonald's, Starbucks Coffee, Burger King, Cafe Azalea, The Grove, Manatee Lounge, and Villa Pizza.

Remember, if ME has more stops after yours, it may be at least an hour after you are picked up before you actually make it to the airport. Security is a mess...it can also take at least an hour.

Our flight left at 8:55 a.m. By the time we got to the airport, went through security, and sat down for a quick meal at Burger King, it was time to board the plane.

Don't forget to stop by the Disney Store :teeth: You'll feel nostalgic and want to turn around and go back!

I think there's a fairly large food court, too which has -- brace yourself -- Krispy Kreme donuts!! :bounce:

Krispy Kreme are donuts? Are they good or is that a silly question?
I am thinking that will just about top off our week of eating. It seems all I do is plan meals and worry about what we're eating when and what dessert I'm having and if they will let me order dessert first and entre second....
Do they let you ?
Hmmm,,,,donuts.

Outback is good, and yes, Krispy Kreme is too. They are addictive, I thnk they put some sort of drug in the cream.

Oh, this is so true!

It's also true about security taking a while... but once your luggage is checked you can plan on relaxing until about 45 minutes before your flight, and then do the walk through & head to your concourse. We haven't waited more than 20 minutes or so to actually walk through... has anyone waited longer than that??

The security lines have been quite long at MCO the last 6 months or so. I would take a look at the lines before heading off for a meal. This seems to be all during the day. I have seen so many people running for their gates lately.

There was some burger place on the 2nd floor above where you go for security. It was ok...I think the food was good, but as I remember our waitress was a little "new"...
