Does anyone else have the Mcd McFlurry maker? We just spent over an hour trying to get this stupid thing to work, using up three mix packages, with no success. My son is very sad and I've got a huge sticky mess to clean up. The liquid keeps streaming out the bottom. I'm about ready to pack the whole thing up and take it back to the store.

Anybody have any suggestions? I'll let my husband take a crack at it but I think we'll be making a trip to the store tonight.

Same thing happened to us the other night! All the cream leaked out as soon as we poured it in. Come to find out, my DH had the red part under the mixer in BACKWARDS. Switch the red thing and put water in first and see if it leaks. What kills me about that thing is that we only got two mixes and I don't know where to get "refills" I checked on puter and only place i could find it was KMart.com and it was around 7$ for 3? packets I think. It did come out really yummy once we got it working. Takes alot of salt though. Good luck and let us know. I wish I knew the names of the parts for you...sorry:rolleyes:

We bought one for DD and it worked just fine. My only complaint is the tiny packet it came with. I saw the refills at Walmart, but I don't remember the price.

The things we do for our kids. The little yellow plug is suppose to go through the bottom of the metal container, right? And then it screws onto the retaining ring. I don't have enough hands to get it all together. It's not tight enough. I think I might have a nervous breakdown.

LOL. I know what you mean... DD also asked "Santa" for an Easy Bake Oven. I knew that I would be doing most of the work, but she would probably want to help me. She did at first, but when she realized how long the process was taking, she went outside to play and I was left in the kitchen with the "Easy" Bake oven.;) When the brownie was done, I called her to come in and eat it. :wizard:

Hey ! Guess what I found out! The upper unit detaches from the base. Can you say Duh! So I got the mixing fin nice and tight with the retaining ring, put some water in the top (learned my lesson the hard way) and it still leaks like a sieve. There are holes that the water still leaks out of. I told my son he better think of another toy he'd like to own.

We actually like the Easy Bake oven. My kids get a kick out of it but my mother asks why don't we just baking something real in the real oven.

Read through all the Amazon reviews. Some people are successful and do like the product but there are quite a few that have problems. Nice to know I'm not the only screwup.

My DS7 received the McFlurry Machine for Christmas from a relative. I knew he was receiving it and read the reviews at Amazon. The next morning I put it away in the closet ~ out of sight out of mind. I will probably be returning it.

Maybe you can exchange the mc flurry maker for an icee maker. We got little ds one from wal mart for christmas. It works pretty well and it also uses alot of salt. He has made me a lemonade and a coke slushy so far. He is in heaven. Well worth the $20. And you only need to use beverages with a high sugar content. Might be a decent compromise for him. Good luck.

Let me tell you all something: The Real McFlurry Machine Is Not Much Better!

I have a white uniform, and I can't count how many times I have come home with brown, blue, black, and every other color patches from having M&Ms, Butterfinger, Oreo, and Crunch thrown on me.

LOL, Brad!!!!!! :p

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the heads up! DD received one from her aunt. It's still under the tree and in it's box, where it will now stay forever!!!:scared: I'll have to pull a Grinch and tell her that it needs to go back to the North Pole for repairs...:rotfl:

Well, at least the toy is authentic. :smooth:

I don't think the icee maker is any better. We couldn't get the icee out of the maker. It made such a mess for 2 very small glasses. My dd's loved it though
