Looks like there is a McDonalds accross the street from DL...does it make any sense to leave DL for lunch and dinner and save $$$$ instead of paying $10/ person for lunch and Dinner for a burger at DL? You can get back in right?

Yes, you can get back in; just get your handstamped. However, it's a bit of a walk; you may want to consider time lost in the park over the $$ spent. And as I recall, that McDonald's has a bit of elevated prices. And crossing that street can be a challenge- there is a signal and crosswalk, but it's very busy!

There is a McDonalds inside DCA too.
That has INCREDIBLY inflated prices!!!!!!

I bought two happy meals for my kids (1 hamburger, 1 chix nuggets) and a small vanilla shake for myself there last summer...price---over $11!!! It's McDonalds food at Disney prices!

Yes, their prices are elevated. I found them to be in line with the counter service inside the park.

We had chowder in sourdough bread bowls one day and it was as cheap as us eating at McD's. Plus, 4 of us shared two bowls with no problem. They are very filling.

Now are you saying the prices are that elevated at the McD's outside the park or the one inside the park. We are staying at the Fairfield Inn right next to the one outside the park so I am sure we will eat there at least once or twice.

I was talking about the one outside the park. The Happy Meals seemed especially pricey there. But, they have delish Dippin' Dots!

Pretty much all the restaurant accross the walkway from Disneyland will have elevated prices. The McDonald's does, the Denny's does. I have heard IHOP does. You really are not that much better of financially to eat outside the park then you are to eat inside the park. Portions on some of the meals are HUGE and can be easily shared between an adult and child or even two adults. I know my DD and I share the tostada salad at Rancho everytime we go. I often will get a child's pasta and a small salad at Plazza Inn.

I suggest eating at the places with bigger portions rather than hiking it to McDs... Becaue not only will it cost about the same you save time and often eat better than Mcds...
