McCormick & Schmick gift cards from Costco

Has anyone recently used purchased gift McCormick & Schmick cards from Costco and used them at Rain forest Cafe? I read that this can be done as they are both Landry's restaurants but where I read it was old so I was wondering if this still applies or not. TIA!

On the Costco Website it doesn't mention Rain Forest Cafe as one of the restaurants you can use the gift card at so, I called the gift card phone number and was told that you can't do it. I'm curious if this is a new rule or not. I'm hoping someone with more recent experience can comment on their experience. Thanks for sharing your experience, I appreciate it!

I read on another board that these Costco cards are M&S specific and don't include RFC, but I don't have any first-hand knowledge as to the truth of that statement.

I think I'm just gonna pass on the idea of buying them. I don't want to take a chance that it won't work out. It costs less to eat at the Plaza Inn with my AP discount anyways. I was considering going one last time before they close but Plaza Inn is more convenient too with no reservation necessary.

It's the wording on the newer cards that have changed that now excludes Rainforest, so no you cannot use them anymore.

Our cards said that they were good only at McCormick locations, but they still worked. I think they would work at any Landry's restaurant, just like their other cards. I was just going to return them if they wouldn't take them, but there was no issue at all.

When did you use them there and when did you purchase the GC. It has been reported they no longer work. TIA!

It was October, I bought the cards right before we left.
